Yes. Giving blood is very safe because all equipment is new, sterile, then discarded immediately after use. Your blood will also undergo several tests to make sure it is safe for other people. Contact your doctor if you have any concerns.

We would you prefer that you sign up ahead of time to avoid long wait times, and so we can get an estimate of how many people will donate. If you missed signing up, we will accept walk-ins until 1:30pm.

Student Government members will be working sign-ups during the lunches. They will ask for your name, date of birth, phone number, and personal email. Lakeview does not store this information, but it will be shared with Versiti. You can find out more about their privacy practices at Versiti's Privacy Policy.

Yes, but only if you actually show up and donate. Signing up to donate will allow you to leave class, but it will only be excused if you check in with us. You will also need a pass when you leave.

There will be a questionnaire to fill out the day of the drive. These answers are confidential and never shared with anyone, and only serve to determine eligibility.
