• AP Art Studio

The AP Art Studio allows seniors the opportunity to explore their artistic side.  Rather than handing down information and then grading students on their absorption of the material, instructors serve as mentors and guides, and rotate throughout the year.   Students work with instructors to create a personalized syllabus; this syllabus serves as the road map to a period of artistic exploration.  As the year progresses, the syllabus may evolve to reflect discoveries made within the classroom and within the student themself.

Students must apply for entry into this course.  Prerequisites include Introduction to Art,
History of Visual Art, and either Painting I or Ceramic Studio.

It is expected that by the end of the year, the student will have created enough original art to constitute a portfolio, which could be used in the application process of any art program.
