    Welcome to the year in Biology.  Over the next several weeks we will be investigating the nature of life and science.  We will discuss a variety of topics such as ecology, classification, evolution and the molecules of life. Later in the year we will explore cellular biology, cancer, the biology of addiction and genetics.  The topic of Biology is as dynamic as the humans that discover more about themselves and the world.  With these discoveries comes a responsibility with which humans have little experience.  When you “get your shots”, take an antibiotic, eat, or exercise, you are experiencing biology.  As a student of biology, you will learn how to observe and record information, and to analyze, synthesize and apply that data.  Be curious, ask questions, and explore your surroundings.  These are the most important skills in the study of this fascinating topic.
