    The Happy Valley High Art Department strives to inspire, support, educate, and assist in the development of our student body.  Our primary focus is the development of the individual student's knowledge and artistic talents.  Our philosophy embraces an artistic standard that each student defines for themself, in combination with a rigorous academic study of the history and theory of art.

    HVHS Mural Ideas

    We want your feedback!
     
    As most of you know, HVHS is planning a mural for the exterior wall on the south side of the main building.  The mural is planned to cover the majority of the wall surface, which is currently brick.  This mural will not only take advantage of an existing surface to beautify the school grounds, it will also serve as a symbol to our community of the school's spirit.
     
    What we really need help with is ideas for the subject of the murals.  Should it be a look back at the history of HVHS?  Maybe an overview of the history of the region?  Or what about our mascot, the Mountain Lion, in a hula skirt with a ukelele?  Just kidding on that last one, but that's why we want your input!  This mural should be a combined effort of students, faculty, and community, so click on 'View Comments or Post a Comment' below and let us know what you think!
